BELLEVILLE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

Celebrating 50 Years of Service 1963-2013

Thank you for your inquiry about scheduling your wedding at our historic Martha-Mary Chapel. The board of the church—the Session—has established certain regulations for weddings in order to maintain the facilities in accordance with the purposes and standards for which they have been dedicated and to clarify the responsibilities of those using the Church.

Marriage is a covenant through which a man and a woman are called to life together and with God. A Christian wedding service is a worship experience, in which the couple makes a lifelong commitment,, is witnessed publicly, and recognized by the community of faith. A condition for marriage in the Chapel at BPC is the couple’s willingness to seek God’s presence and guidance for the Wedding Service and in the future.
